Instructions for Online Application For Bursary Awards
The FaithActs Bursary Awards Scheme is a bursary scheme for needy students. The scheme seeks to assist needy full-time students presently studying in Primary or Secondary schools, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE), Pre-tertiary educational institution (Junior Colleges – JC) or Polytechnic.
Objectives
- To provide financial assistance to students from low income families to purchase textbooks, workbooks and uniforms before commencement of an academic year so as to serve as an encouragement to them to do their best in their studies.
- To complement the role and function of the Ministry of Education (MOE)’s financial assistance scheme for the needy students.
- To motivate beneficiary of the award to strive for greater achievements benefiting themselves and the community.
Eligibility
- Applicant must be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.
- Applicant must be attending a government, government-aided school / institution or school / institution for children with special needs.
- Applicant must be between 7 and 25 years old at the point of application.
- Applicant must live or study in Tanglin Halt / Commonwealth / Ghim Moh / Dover / Holland Village / Queens Close / Stirling Road / Mei Ling Street / Margaret Drive community.
- Applicant family’s gross monthly household income does not exceed $5,000 and per capita income (total gross family income divided by total number of household members) does not exceed $1,250.
- Applicant must exhibit good conduct and have satisfactory academic results.
- Eligible applicants are not guaranteed the award of the Bursary. FaithActs reserves the rights to make the final decision.
- Only one award is given to each family.
- Applicants must be a participant/member of FaithActs Youth Club or programmes. Applicants above 18 must complete 3 VIA hours upon successful application. If you are not a participant/member, please complete and submit the membership application form together with the bursary application form

Application Deadline
All applications must be received by 22 August 2025 (Friday), 6pm.
Selection & Approval
- Selection will be made by the FaithActs Bursary Awards Committee.
- All decisions made are final and at the sole discretion of the FaithActs Bursary Awards Committee. Applicants will be notified by post on the outcome of their applications. Successful applicants are required to attend a presentation ceremony in November 2025.
- Incomplete application forms without supporting documents and late submissions will not be considered.
- Successful applicants will be notified by mail by 1st week of November 2025
Receiving the Award
- The successful applicant must attend the presentation ceremony in November to receive the Bursary Award in person; details will be sent in the notification letter.
- The successful applicant must produce a medical certificate or letter of excuse duly signed by his/her parent if he/she is unable to attend the presentation ceremony; The FaithActs Bursary Awards Committee reserves the right to withdraw the approval.
- The successful applicant will receive the Bursary Award in the form of a crossed cheque in his/her name; please ensure that the cheque is credited to the correct bank account.
- No cash or cash cheques will be issued in replacement of the crossed cheque.
- Cheques that have expired will not be reissued. The cheque will be valid for 6 months.
- The crossed cheque can only be banked into an account/joint account bearing the name of the successful applicant. Please open an account if you do not have an existing account.

Online Application Procedure
- Prepare the following documents for uploading. They should be in jpg or pdf format:
- A passport-sized photograph of the applicant
- Applicant’s birth certificate / NRIC (both sides)
- Applicant’s academic results slip (year 2025 mid-year and year 2024 year end)
- Parent’s / Guardian’s NRIC (both sides)
- Latest CPF statements (transaction history of last 6 months) or pay slips or income tax returns or employment letters of parent(s) / guardian and other working family members
- Documentary evidence of parent's divorce, separation certificate or death certificate (if applicable)
- Medical report of applicant or any family member who has a chronic or serious medical condition, if any
